Today, Tuesday, it is open until 7pm and the book sale will still be on. Lots of travel books I noticed and loads of fiction books.
How tall are you compared to Shrek?
You, and your children, can compare your height to Shrek, Peppa Pig, Yoda, Paul at the library (the tallest yet – he showed me he could touch the ceiling) and the world’s biggest rabbit. I was in between Yoda and Shrek.
The library is a valued resource for Burntwood and the children’s area has as much Lego as it has books it seems to me. Pop down and discover what there is for yourself.
And it is still a distinctive building
Incidentally, this is the only other building, besides the Chase Terrace High School, before the fire 20 years ago next week, that I noticed when travelling through the town in the 80’s. The only street name I noticed when driving on to see customers in Cannock in those days was Ironstone Road. Never did I think I was destined to live there many years later! What I particularly like about Ironstone Road is that it is the only one in the whole of the UK.
